So this is a brand that I have been seeing mentioned on various websites and blogs in the last few months, its a brand from the H&M group and offers clothing, accessories, shoes, bags and beauty... As a self confessed skin-care obsessed gal I obviously decided to try out some of the skin care items they had to offer.
For my first purchase I went for the Fig Fiction Body Scrub, and let me tell you it smells absolutely fantastic. I know the idea behind a scrub and exfoliator is to buff away the dry skin etc. but I have a real dislike for some scrubs that leave my skin feeling scratchy, I hate feeling the "bits" in a scrub - strange I know! But this little gem is lovely, smooths on like a dream and then when you massage it into your skin it eventually turns into a lather which I cant even put into words how much I love!
Leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and smooth and I can use it everyday without it feeling as though its leaving my poor skin raw!
It took me forever to decide on what scrub to buy scent wise - so in the end I got myself two! I also purchased the Couture Carnival Scrub - again smells lovely but I think I'm just besotted with the Fig one at the moment so I don't use it as much.
Definitely loving & Other Stories as a brand though and intend to buy some more items both skin care and make up wise, I've seen some beautiful spring and summer shades lipstick wise so I expect to seriously splash some cash on this brand in the future!

So this happened today
Thursday, 2 May 2013
Im fairly certain that Im the reason my postman still has a job....
I've been pretty good this year in relation to not buying excessively from ebay etc. I used to buy all sorts of rubbish! But the past few months ive toned it down, skincare and makeup purchases not included hehe.
Today I got three deliveries...yes three! My mum wasn't pleased - I was still in bed and she answered the door muhaha. But yeah so below is what I received in today's post!
1. Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation: I First bought this gem when I holiday'd in California last summer, was having a peruse around Sephora and visited the Kat Von D stand - I was curious as it's not available in the UK, I was extremely impressed with the coverage. I'm a gal who when I'm on a night out opts for a really matte foundation, I like full coverage and so this really works for me, you literally only need a tiny amount and it covers like a gem! So much so that after purchasing it last July it only threw in the towel last week!
Unfortunately as I mentioned before its not available in the UK and Sephora doesn't deliver to the UK so I had to scour eBay for it and I paid a hefty price! Worth it though!
2. RedKen Extreme Shampoo & Conditioner & Redken Extreme Strength Builder Fortifying Mask: So I've seen this product around and about on various blogs and a few people I know have invested but I was sort of reluctant to take the plunge as the products are fairly expensive, however, I got a pay rise last week and decided to treat myself! In addition to that Feelunique.com have an offer on the brand at the moment, I got the SOS pack which contains the Shampoo and mask for £19 and then I purchased the conditioner separately! I'm planning on washing my hair on Saturdaythe only day i have time to do it because of work! So I will do a review on Saturday night, hopefully whilst admiring my uber healthy and shiny locks!
3. RedKen Real Control Shampoo: This was a free 50ml sample I received with my order from feel unique, not a bad size as samples go!
4. Nip + Fab Spot Fix: My skin around my chin area has been really bad lately due to stress - final few weeks of university I had deadlines coming out my ears so I was on the edge of a breakdown which resulted in a breakout! I've been lucky in my years to not actually suffer from bad skin and spots, the occasional menstrual spot but nothing major and so I've never really had the need to own spot creams etc So I was in a bit of a rut these past few weeks when I did break out! Normally I'd use a clay mask and maybe some sudocrem to take away the redness but it just didn't want to work! and so I was just browsing and Nip + Fab is a brand I've been seeing around a lot lately so I gave it a shot and what do you know, they have an offer on! I do love offers, so I got this for £3.95!!! reduced from £9.95, I used it this morning and I can already see a difference! I also purchased the Pistachio Sundae Body Butter which isn't pictured but smells fantastic!
And that's it! Well I say that's it but that's a lot as far as a day of packages goes!
Next up is a review of my & Other Stories products that I purchased a few weeks ago now...I'm in love!

Peanut Butter Cookies
So everyone knows that too much revision is counter productive and you need to take frequent breaks, yesterday I decided to make the most of my break by doing some baking!
I opted for peanut butter and choc chip cookies, now I made mine from scratch but I'm pretty sure you could make these with the Betty Crocker boxes that you just have to add like an egg and water too and just throw some peanut butter in there, but I was in the baking mood and decided to go it alone!
They smelt heavenly and my Dad ate pretty much the whole plate so I'm guessing that he meant it when he said they where delish and that he wasn't just being biased!

When you should be revising.....
...but you find yourself doing anything and everything else such as.....NAIL ART!
I love nail art, in fact I sometimes spend hours online looking at everyone else's fantastic nails, have you seen WAH! nails? some of the nail art they produce is just amazing, I've also been a frequent visitor to BURKATRON for a long time now, and I get so jealous because i really do have shakey hands...well when it comes to doing my right hand anyway!
But alas, below is a picture of a particular design i like because it accommodates shakey hand in a way that the design doesn't have to be neat! I'm pretty happy with it, even if i did end up smudging my forefinger about half an hour after completion....I'm always ruining my forefingers!

I'm also a fan because the combination of colours can be endless depending on your nail varnish collection!
As you can see I opted for pastel colours, all models own!

Lets start again shall we
I really do suck at this blog stuff, I mean since my last post I've actually FINISHED university, I have my last exam on Wednesday and then that's it, I graduate! Scary stuff eh?
So Ill do a round up as briefly as I can to cover the last...2 years? no year and a halfish?
In my last post I was half way through my placement year, I met a great bunch of people, gained some experience in the adult world of work and definitely decided that IT support isn't for me....some people are just so rude and lets face it, incompetent - sounds mean but really, if you don't know the difference between a mouse and a keyboard then you shouldn't be using a computer, that's just a fact.
Here's a little image of me in my "IT Support" role....Hit me baby one more time anyone?
What else happened? Oh yes! I went to my favourite place in the whole world....well in the UK...Edinburgh! Just love that city, however this particular visit was especially great because I went to the zoo and got to see the pandas! I was so close to them and was lucky that one of them was actually awake as usually both of them just sleep all day ha!
Probably the biggest thing that occured last year was the fact that I FINALLY got to go America, My friend and I went to California for 5 and a half week and then spent a week in Las Vegas....absolutely best time of my life, so much happened that it needs its own post which I will do later on, its actually quite depressing because I don't have any holidays planned this summer so looking back over pictures from last summer is que saddening....!

I still think I could live in the wild as a surrogate panda baby....

So, with this blog I will be posting about recent purchases - and lately there is a lot of them, usually skin care and make up, i have an unhealthy obsession with skin care, give me a new cleanser any day and I will squeeeee like a little girl!
Same goes with books I've read/am reading (and i apologize in advanced there are a lot of them). fashion, clothes I've bought/liked, places I wanna go, places I've been, breakdowns of my day, things I've made and so on....I really do hope I stick to the blog this time, I mean now that I've finished uni I've pretty much got nothing going on other than my job!
Peace Out x

Jeez its been a while
Im not cut out for this blog malarkey, im too easily distracted.
Since my last post? I got a placement!
13 months of IT support at a company called mouchel, i have to keep reminding myself that its just a placement, im officially 6 months down, 7 to go, its decent money, and its just a placement.
IT Support is definitely not on my list of careers to go into when i graduate.
If I graduate! I havent created so much as a box in 3DSMax since the summer, i had all these good intentions to do so, dont you just love good intentions?
No one is ever going to read this, so im stopping now, i miss writing in my diary, so im going to become reacquainted with it, actually no im not, im going to buy a new one because ill just cringe at whatever i wrote previously in that one.
